Dining and Entertainment: Want to see a Broadway musical? Or is ballet more your style? You can see both here at the immaculately restored Ritz Theatre, thanks to the efforts of the Greenville Area Arts Council. Find out more about performances at www.gaac-ritz.com. Greenville has a wide selection of restaurants and cafes, from "meat and three" home cooking to sophisticated restaurants featuring culinary institute trained chefs.

Tourism: Like arts and crafts? The Butler County Fair is held every September. It includes livestock, crafts, a flower show, baked goods and carnival rides. Celebrate America is held at the beginning of July with a spectacular fireworks extravaganza. Old Time Farm Days showcases mule-plowing teams, pedal tractor races, quilting, basket making and blacksmith demonstrations every fall during the last weekend in October.  The Greenville Haunted Firehouse is a Halloween tradition open each weekend in October and Halloween night.  If it's outdoor recreation you seek, then how about the 36 holes of World Class Golf found at Cambrian Ridge on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail? There's always the shaded trails and campsites of Sherling Lake park, as well as the many parks found throughout the Camellia City.
