Parks & Recreation

MISSION STATEMENT
At the Greenville Parks & Recreation Department our goal is to provide recreation opportunities that promote sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy minds and bodies.

From baseball and softball to basketball and track, we offer a variety of programs for children that give them an opportunity to compete against some of the best competition in Alabama.  Our baseball, softball and basketball programs are traditionally among the best in the southeastern part of the state.  Through our track and field program we have sent several youngsters to Hershey, Pennsylvania for the annual Hershey Track & Field competition to compete against the best young athletes in America as well as Canada.

Our adult programs include basketball, volleyball and softball with the latter playing their games at the Greenville Softball Complex, one of the best facilities of its type in South Alabama.

Parks & Recreation OfficeAnnual non-athletic programs offered by the Greenville Parks and Recreation Department include the Easter Egg Hunt and Halloween Carnival.  We also run a summer day camp for children ages 5-15 with rates far below that of other programs of its type.

We hope you will find the material contained in this site useful and look forward to having you take part in our programs.  If we can be of service to you, please feel free to call (334) 382-3031 or stop by our offices at 1016 East Commerce Street.
