Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. The event is held in May at the Greenville YMCA.

The last week in September the Kiwanis Club of Greenville will host the Butler County Fair. Art exhibits, flower arrangements, and livestock shows are just a few additions the Kiwanis Club adds to the traditional cotton candy and Ferris wheel fair. Old Time Farm Day
Spring and fall bring mule-plowing teams, pedal tractor races, boot races, quilting and farm animals. Demonstrations of blacksmith, gristmill and basket making will transport you to the past. Sweet Potato Festival
The first weekend in November the Optimist Club sponsors the Sweet Potato Festival. Held at the Butler County Fairgrounds, this annual event features delicious pies, cakes and other treats. For more information contact Clara Hudson at 382-3202.
Santa arrives in Greenville via fire truck to start our holiday season. Local organizations, schools and community groups participate with floats, tractors, scooters, etc. The processional is judged and prizes awarded to the best entries in float and decorated vehicle divisions.
